I'm 7 1/2 weeks old...

Can you believe it? I'm already almost 8 weeks old! and I'm growing really really fast. Mommy already had to put my first batch of onesies in the bottom drawer and start on the next size. wow! Maybe my body will catch up with my head size soon.

We've been so so busy - mostly eating and sleeping still, of course, because that (along with being cute) is my job. Someone asked mommy what her job is and she said "Baby feeder." She is very good at what she does, that's for sure. My tummy is proof!

It has been super hot at our house lately! Daddy says I'm a great excuse for turning on the air conditioner. I'm good for other stuff, too. Like Mommy gets to have the snacks from the mommy's room at church! She can't do that without me. and having me around is also a great excuse to nap. in the middle of the day. Any day. not just Sunday.

Tomorrow very early in the morning, we are going to go to the beach. I've never been to the ocean before! I'm not sure if I'll get outside much; it depends on the weather. I'm not allowed to go in the sun too much yet. But that probably won't be a problem on the Oregon Coast. I'll have to tell you all about that trip after we get back!

Now I'm going to tell Daddy to take my picture so we can post it here. and maybe this time I'll try not to fall asleep for the photo.

Lazy Lazy Mommy

Okay - I'm growing like a weedlet! Can you believe I'm already 5 1/2 weeks old?!? wowie! I guess time flies when your days and nights all run together at a non-definable rate of half dream state blurriness. I'm finally starting to be able to tell the difference between days and nights, though, and actually let my mommy sleep a whole 3 hour chunk o' time last night! She was pretty giddy about it.

once again, I'm waiting to poop. wait, wait, wait. It kinda makes me cranky. but miraculously, mommy and daddy still love the bajeezeez outta me! They've been taking me for lots of walks, too, and now I have a real hat to wear so I can even walk on sunny days! Mommy's friend Donelle has a little boy and he outgrew this really cool hat so he sent it to me! and a whole bunch of other really nifty doodads. Mostly all clothes, which mommy thinks is REALLY cool. She cried and stuff. I was hoping for a scooter. but those are hard to put in a box and send. I'm going to be one classy lookin' lil dude!

I forgot to write and tell you how much fun I had all last week on Pa and Nana's farm! The men that are painting our old leadpainted house kicked me out, so Mommy came with me to Nana and Pa's for the week while they scraped off the icky old paint and sprayed on the new stuff. Our crib is looking SHARP! It's been rainy this week, though, so it's not done yet. They'll finish as soon as there is sunshine for a whole day again. But anyway, we had such a fun time at the farm! I got to spend lots of time with Pa and Nana and their puppy Russ and my eyes about popped when I saw all that bright blue sky! It's very big there. Big blue sky, big green trees and fields. Big bright windows... their house is FULL UP of sunshine! and lots of lovin's, too, so I felt pretty spoiled. It was hard to come home for one second. Then I saw Daddy and I was very happy to be home with him.

I decided to smile at my Mommy this morning! and it wasn't even cuz of gas this time! She just flipped out. it was really cute to see her so excited. I'll have to do that more often. That will have to be one of my first hobbies. In fact, I'll go try to smile right now and see if Daddy can get a good picture of me to put on here for you to see! Wish me luck!
