Another week of non-wombdome

Well, I've beautifully survived another week outside the womb! My big news is that I had another trip to see my doctor last Friday and I'm all back up to my birth weight! So - now mommy and daddy aren't as mean about making me eat ALLLLLL the time. aaaargh! The pressure! I'm getting back at them a little by staying awake at night. We'll be even stevens pretty soon and I'll let them sleep again. (at least that's what my mommy THINKS is going to happen).

It's been so pretty outside. I think i'm really happy that I was born in May. It's one of my mommy's favorite times of the year! I love looking at the flowers in our backyard with my mommy and sitting on the front porch with my daddy and visiting with the neighbors on their porches across the street! We have the bestest neighbors and they love me already!

My mommy was trying to help me write this, but she said she's too sleepy to think so she's going to bed before 9 o'clock for the third night in a row. That might be a record! Maybe I should just let them sleep...

This is Hard Work!

Okay - so I'm another week old and I've gotta tell ya... life on the outside is HARD WORK! These parents of mine keep saying that I'm not gaining weight like the doctor would like me to, so they make me eat ALL THE TIME! Every 2 hours, they're poking at me trying to get me to eat and eat and eat. We have another weigh in tomorrow to see how I'm doing. I can hardly wait until I'm bigger so they'll let me sleep already! sheesh!

I had a REALLY fun surprise on Monday night! I have more grandparents! Not only do I have a Nana and a Pa, but a Grandma and Grandpa, too! They're my daddy's parents and are staying in our city for the summer so they can watch me grow. They brought me lots of fun things from their very nice friends in Southern California that I can hardly wait to play with!

and I had a WONDERFUL weekend with my cousin Rose and her mommy and daddy - my Aunt and Uncle! They came over to meet me and have a nice visit and celebrate my birthday and my Unca Gareth's birthday, too. We had yummy cupcakes! Or at least I heard they were yummy. No one even slipped me any frosting. They will hear about this as soon as I can communicate verbally.

I'm changing every day, but not as quickly as Mommy and Daddy! They look about 20 years older than they did 2 1/2 weeks ago when I was born. But they're very smiley with me and so happy to see me every time I wake up! Even though they look like they might just fall over. I think they must love me very much!

I am twelve days old today...

My parents just took me on my first walk in the polka dotted carrier that Auntie Julie gave me. It was hot outside, so mommy had to cover my face so it wouldn't get burned in the sunshine. But then I got all sweaty in there. Mommy is like a heater! Daddy was in charge of walking the dogs and picking up their "leftovers". Daddy has seen a lot of poop lately.

I don't have much to say yet, and will probably not do a lot of the writing for this blog since, y'know, I'm only twelve days old. Mostly mommy will write and be a little dorky and pretend she's me. Like right now. But i'm sure you will all forgive her! I'm her first baby and have brought out the extra gooey layer of sentimental in her. She even cries at the movies now! and she tries to eat my toes.

Mommy and Daddy are doing a really good job with me so far. I keep hearing them talk about something called sleep deprivation, but I don't know what that means. All I know is, they are always right in my face smiling when I just start to know that I need them! It's so handy! They must love me very much. or maybe they just need to get hobbies.
